OrganicLives’ Goji Berry Extract is uniquely  produced in a pristine, certified-organic region in the Ninxia province of China. This is the same amazing place where they hold a festival each year to celebrate the Goji Berry and its amazing health benefits.
During harvest season in the late summer, the Goji Berries are hand-picked, shaken onto mats, washed, inspected and then sent to the organic extraction facility. Upon delivery the berries are seeded, juiced and then the juice is dried in a proprietary low-temp process that results in a fine powder. Because of the careful selection process and extraction methods, every batch of this product is guaranteed to have at least 20% polysaccharides. There are two things that separate OrganicLives’ Goji Berry Extract Powder from others on the market. First, it’s extremely concentrated: It takes 14 parts fresh material to make one part of this extract.  And secondly, our Gojis are one of the few Certified Organic by the USDA. Our Gojis aren’t wildcrafted (which can be dangerous in notoriously pesticide-rich countries like China or Mongolia) and they’re not “certified green”—the Chinese standard that’s too low to be recognized here in the US by the USDA.
Nutritional Benefits
Goji Berry Extract contains 20% polysaccharides, compounds that may help fortify the immune system. A polysaccharide found in this fruit has been found to be a powerful secretagogue (a substance that can stimulate the secretion of rejuvenative human growth hormone by the pituitary gland).
Goji berries are also one of the richest source of carotenoids, including beta-carotene (more beta carotene than carrots), of all known foods or plants.
In China, the Goji is believed to increase the “chi” or life energy in those that eat them. In the Ningxia Province, where our Gojis come from, one village of 4,000 residents has six people over the age of 100. Nationally, only six centenarians would be expected in every one million people.
